The Personal Support Program (PSP) has been developed by Family and Community Services to provide assistance to people receiving a Centrelink benefit who, due to personal circumstances, are finding it difficult to remain connected to the social and economic life of the community. The government has recognised that there are people who need some time and support to help them become part of the community and the workforce. PSP may help them to deal with many issues.

The Partners of Prisoners (POP) program has been in operation since 1993. It is commonly known as the POP program.   POP’s core business is to facilitate access to and delivery of relevant support services and programs which promote the health, well being and family life of partners of prisoners who are at risk of Hepatitis C, HIV/AIDS or are people living with Hepatitis C or HIV.

OARS SA operates a support group for parents of prisoners finding difficulty managing the circumstances of their adult child or children in prison.

OARS SA has been providing quality drug counselling for the past four years with the introduction of the Illicit Drug intervention Program(IDIP). The program is funded by the National Illicit Drug Strategy and is now well positioned to meet the needs of clients whose lives have been adversely affected by drug use. IDIP offers an holistic drug counselling service, which takes into account the complexity of the issues that clients face when they present for counselling. The team is centrally located in the city office, with outreach services to Christies Beach, Davoren Park and Murray Bridge.

The Gambling Support Service is a new program funded to assist Problem Gamblers.  The aim of the program is to support lifestyle changes for people affected by problem gambling, who have been drawn into, or are at risk of entering, the criminal justice system.
